Roma midfielder Houssem Aouar is set to join Al-Ittihad, according to reports in Italy. The Algeria midfielder was out of contract at Lyon before joining Roma last season. But the 26-year-old’s form has disappointing. With him making just 25 appearances in all competitions, scoring four goals football.
Corriere dello Sport recently reveal that Al-Ittihad are ready to sign Aouar for €15 million. With the Roma set to accept the offer and pave the way for the Algerian to move to the Saudi Arabian league.
Aouar has previously linked with Nice and Qatar’s Al Sadd. But Italian media now believe the 26-year-old midfielder is set to make the move to the oil-rich country.UFABET
Roma are ready to sell Aouar as the player is not in Daniele De Rossi’s plans and sees an opportunity to make some money.
Italian media are predicting that Aouar’s transfer could be completed by the end of the week.
Last season, Al Ittihad failed to defend their Saudi Premier League title, finishing fifth in the table. And will need to strengthen their squad in order to reclaim the title next season.
For Houssem Aouar, his career began in the youth system at Olympique Lyonnais. Where he made his senior debut in 2016, making 233 appearances for the club before moving to Roma last summer, only to move again a year later to join Al Ittihad.
